Trivia
*As Tatiana's parents are of polar opposite social classes, including one that no longer exists, and they never married, she technically has no social class by birth. She's considered middle class.
*Didrika initially plans to name her second child after Boris; she's rather dismayed to have a daughter. Adel suggests they name her after someone close to Boris; Didrika remembers how he used to talk about his sister Tatiana, and so chooses this name.
*The German spelling of her name should be Tatjana, though Didrika uses the Russian spelling.
*She inadvertently mirrors her own father's behavior in engaging in a one-night stand and ending up as a single parent; her brother Godfrey uses this fact to dispel her worry that Adel will be disappointed in her.
