Trivia
*The Nazi-sympathizer group Revell belongs to is loosely based on the German American Bund. Ironically, the German Nazi Party practically disavowed the American group as detrimental to German/American relations.
*It's strongly hinted that the war crimes he commits during the Great War include sexually assaulting and killing a child (and possibly also the child's mother). Champere witnesses him leaving the burning village with his clothing rumpled and bloody, fresh gouges across his cheek, and an infuriated look on his face--indicating that at least one of his victims fought back.
*During a recruitment visit for Alpha Squad, Aisling Seery, Turquoise Rat's mother, senses that Revell is a "bad person" who should not be trusted. Turquoise confides that he's reached the same conclusion--he presumably witnesses Revell's past actions when they shake hands--yet feels compelled to accept his offer, sensing that it'll lead to greater consequences of which even Revell is unaware.
*In a way, ironically (considering that he attempts to sabotage Camo Rat's efforts), he can reasonably be considered the actual creator of the Trench Rats, as he's the one to create Alpha Squad, who the Trench Rats are summoned to rescue. The Trench Rats--particularly former Alpha Squad member Teal--are responsible for charges finally being brought against Revell. So technically, Revell brings about his own downfall.
*He plays a major role in the superstitious Champere's religious delusions; upon witnessing his crimes against a French village, Champere deems him the "American Devil" ("le Diable Américain"), and attempts (unsuccessfully) to kill him. He's likely the main reason Champere distrusts the American forces in WWII so much.
