Trivia
*The port city Kolten sails from and was likely born in is very loosely based, at least geographically, on Bremen.
*He most often serves aboard the SS Das Licht Des Meeres, "The Light Of The Sea."
*He's born under a water sign (Pisces) while his wife Anna Maria is born under an earth sign (Virgo). Their son Otto is born under an earth sign, yet its patron is half of the land and half of the sea (Capricorn, the Sea Goat); he decides not to follow in his father's footsteps, and remains on land.
