Appearance
Gret is a Pomeranian with pricked ears and long fur. She's of short height (about 5' tall); with a petite/slender body type; has light blue eyes; and has white fur and light blond hair.
Gret has a very Aryan/Nordic appearance; she wears her hair with bangs in front and two long braids in back. She's often mistaken for a child due to her diminutive height, odd demeanor, and rather breathy, high-pitched voice. She has an overly stiff, formal carriage--her walk resembles a goose step--and speech patterns. She favors somewhat old-fashioned but fancy long dresses with tight bodices and sometimes voluminous skirts; she has these in various colors (her stepfather bought them for her, and her brother smuggled them out to her after she was disowned), which she wears with matching hair ribbons, sometimes gloves and a greatcoat, and tall shiny boots. When she wears her black dress and accessories her appearance reminds others of her stepfather's SS uniform as she often dressed this way when accompanying him to his labor camp. When in public she sometimes wears hats and a jacket or coat with the collar up to conceal her face. She wears or carries her stepfather's SS-Degen (dress sword) at her side despite its awkward length (over 3' long) compared to her height. She has a well-put together, immaculate appearance with a cold, emotionless facial expression, and rarely smiles or laughs.

Heinz Abetz (Father)
The Dannecker children's biological father is a working-class, low-ranking soldier and member of the Nazi Party who is killed early on in combat on the Eastern Front. From what little has been revealed of him, his and Else's marriage is more one of convenience than one based on love, though Else does miss and mourn him. He's rather strict and unaffectionate toward Else, and distant and mostly uninvolved with his children, so none of them are very close to him. Along with their four surviving children, he and Else have a stillborn child and several miscarriages. Partly because of Abetz's uninvolved nature, when Ernst Dannecker arrives he very easily wins over the family with his feigned kindness. (Appears in backstory/side story only.)
