Appearance
Bernhard is a Pomeranian with pricked ears and long fur. He's of short height; with a sturdy body type; has light blue eyes; and has white fur and golden blond hair.
Bernhard has a very Aryan/Nordic appearance; he wears his hair in the typical military-style haircut of very short on the sides, somewhat longer on the top. He's relatively short and of rather youthful/childlike appearance like everyone else in his birth family. He wears traditional German clothing, including short trousers with suspenders, similar to lederhosen. He often carries a leather satchel for books. He's always well put together and proper looking, and has a polite, formal, obedient demeanor.

Heinz Abetz (Father)
The Dannecker children's biological father is a working-class, low-ranking soldier and member of the Nazi Party who is killed early on in combat on the Eastern Front. From what little has been revealed of him, his and Else's marriage is more one of convenience than one based on love, though Else does miss and mourn him. He's rather strict and unaffectionate toward Else, and distant and mostly uninvolved with his children, so none of them are very close to him. Along with their four surviving children, he and Else have a stillborn child and several miscarriages. Partly because of Abetz's uninvolved nature, when Ernst Dannecker arrives he very easily wins over the family with his feigned kindness. (Appears in backstory/side story only.)
