Appearance
Champere is of tall height; with a stocky/somewhat heavy body type; has pale blue-gray eyes; and has dark warm gray fur.
Champere's left ear is ragged and torn and he has a large burn scar over his left eye; his vision is unaffected. He wears a cobbled-together mix of clothing including the tunic of an old, faded French military uniform and a black kepi. He wears some old medals on his chest, but it's unknown whether he earned them or appropriated them from other sources; similar with the old dress sword he wears. He always has a vaguely angry facial expression and has a hostile, aloof, uncooperative demeanor; there's the insinuation he may be mentally unbalanced.

Trivia
*I've long wondered over Champere's exact rank, and whether it's legitimate or not; although on the 2002 reboot character list he's named as "Sergeant Major" (I refer to it as a title rather than an actual rank but say he may have held the rank once), at times I've referred to him as "Major." A portion of his history came out while I was brainstorming the backgrounds of Sapphire Rat and Revell, revealing that he fought in a French infantry unit in the Great War and witnessed one of Revell's atrocities against civilians. He definitely has the legitimate rank of sergeant major. However, I just went looking for the original French version of the rank to include on his profile, and if my understanding is correct (I'm abysmal at military things, so tend to play fast and loose), this particular rank was abolished after WWI and before WWII. (It was briefly resurrected during WWII, but anyway.) This doesn't directly contradict my story, as Champere is no longer in the French military during the main story; he simply leads partisan forces. Given his rather grandiose nature, it's perfectly in character for him to continue carrying his abolished military rank the same way he continues wearing his(?) medals and kepi; he's wielding power he no longer has.
