January 20, 2023, 3:00:06 AM 1/20/23: r/SketchDaily theme, "Lighthouse/Free Draw Friday." (I did Free Draw Friday.) This week's character from my anthro WWII storyline is Nixie (no last name ever given). She's psychic, like Turquoise from THIS POST, and helps introduce him to his abilities. There'll be more about her later in my art Tumblr and Toyhou.se, though there's already quite a bit in Turquoise's Tumblr entry. TUMBLR EDIT: I haven't much to say here about Nixie as I dumped out most of her part in the plot in Turquoise's entry. I don't know much about her background yet except that she's from a farm family, not dirt poor ones like Klemper, but somewhat better off. It seems it's just her and her parents, and in the current version of events they end up killed when she's captured by the Nazis for experimentation. I'm not sure what her living situation is following that incident, although she reappears throughout the series, and I believe she and Turquoise eventually get romantically involved. She's apparently exhibited psychic abilities for most of her life as her family don't consider this odd; in fact the talent seems to run in the family. She's more comfortable with her talent than Turquoise is, likely because he's spent his life trying to ignore/avoid his visions whereas she's embraced hers. Nixie has an unusually optimistic nature despite the awful experiences she goes through. I'm not quite sure how to explain it, since I'm definitely not that sort and most of my characters aren't either (Russell Whittaker from my Minot storyline is a good example of someone who is, though). At some point it'd be good for me to mull over how the rest of her plot plays out, if her worldview shifts at all, though she hasn't revealed that yet so I guess today isn't the day.
