6/25/21: r/SketchDaily theme, "Free Draw Friday." Free Draw Friday means another character portrait attempt. Here is Manabozho, a sort of culture hero and trickster from Ojibwa mythology; he's one of the main characters in my fantasy serials.

Something I've just realized is, the two upright feathers he wears on his head--I think they're not so much part of his traditional headwear, as they're part of his actual anatomy--they stand in for rabbit ears, as Manabozho is the Great Rabbit, and I seem to recall that in my writing and older art these feathers are sometimes depicted as moving about like a rabbit's ears. I even have a couple of older drawings of 'Bozho as a baby and even then he has two stumpy little feathers on his head. 😄 So I really doubt those are just part of his outfit. I gave him an actual, dropped feather in back, which doesn't seem to be present in my other artwork of him. And yeah, lesson learned from drawing the Egyptian gods and their funny tall hats, I should draw my guys with feathers on a taller canvas now.

'Bozho is the twin of Chakenapok (this guy HERE); I don't think they're identical twins, though, since in my story they don't resemble each other much. They have a...weird convoluted story. Good twin, evil twin stuff...you know, the usual.
