August 26, 2019, 2:54:23 AM March 19, 2021, 3:11:30 PM 8/26/19: Thomas Leeds, from my Manitou Island fiction. He's half GeeBee, thus the ears, which he often hides under his hair to avoid attracting attention. (GeeBees aren't well regarded, for good reason--they literally eat people--and the fact that Thomas's mother was...um...with one is considered terribly scandalous by the people who know of it. Given what's known of GeeBees, it shouldn't have even been possible.) Looking at this pic, I'm not sure how he'd hide those ears, but anyway... He also has fangs (another aspect of his GeeBee parentage), and the ability to manipulate cold and ice. He used to have to drink blood once in a while so as not to grow weak and sick, which bothered him since he hates violence, though thanks to the intervention of the manitou Geezhigo-Quae he no longer has to worry about this. (Fun fact: His surname was originally going to be something like Richington, but I discarded this as being TOO British (which Thomas's mother is). So he got the decidedly non-British (/s) surname Leeds. Lt. Andrew Barrington was the one who ended up with a super-Britishy name.) Thomas has no profile yet but first appears in THIS story. Where I just noticed he's described as having "sandy blond" hair. Hm. 🤔 Well, that's not really how I envision him now, and I don't want to redo the picture. Expect this to happen again since I don't keep track of such details while writing. 🙄 And he's fifteen, I swear. 😓 [Thomas Leeds 2019 [Monday, August 26, 2019, 2:54:23 AM]] 3/19/21: Redo of Thomas Leeds from Return To Manitou Island. Much an improvement over my previous attempt at him, where I made him look way too masculine and macho (he's only fifteen, and not the big buff type). I also fixed his hair color (I'd envisioned it as pale yellow-blond when in my own story it's described as "sandy blond"), plus made his ears a more reasonable size (since he hides them under his hair at times, and there's no way the previous version could've done that). Apparently in the middle of a weird drowsy state last night I posted my goofy-looking Augwak...? Expect the new and (hopefully) improved Augwak as the next Portrait. Look at this. Android 11 loves randomly capitalizing various nouns like I'm Donald Trump's old Twitter feed. Anyway, it's "portrait." I need to draw the Amazon rainforest first... 😩 In unrelated news WTF ARE YOU DOING WITH THESE RISING COVID RATES, MICHIGAN?!? FORTY PERCENT INCREASE?? FOURTH-HIGHEST RATE OF NEW CASES??
