January 21, 2022, 5:17:52 AM 1/21/22: r/SketchDaily theme, "Free Draw Friday." Today's character portrait attempt is Keewadin-Nodin, the North Wind, AKA Kabebonikka, the Wintermaker. He's one of four brothers (actually three brothers and one sister who dresses and acts like a guy) who of course are the manitous (spirits) of the winds; second oldest, he's also the most sociopathic. (He and big brother Kabeyun (the West Wind) didn't get along well with younger, more sensitive siblings Shawondassee (South) and Wabun (East).) He's somewhat unusual in that his skin isn't copper but wan gray, possibly due to the cold that always surrounds him, while his eyes glow blue as manitou eyes do. And oh yeah, white hair, because of course. TUMBLR EDIT: An older, concept artwork of Kabebonikka depicts him with pointed ears like Geezhigo-Quae, but Shawondassee--the other Wind I drew--has normal ears, plus I can't think of any reason why they'd be pointed, unless he changed them to look like the Wendigoes he created, though that doesn't make much sense.
