December 10, 2021, 1:25:57 AM 12/10/21: r/SketchDaily theme, "Free Draw Friday." New character portrait attempt. This here is former North Dakota state trooper Brian Condry. Why former? While he and his partner were investigating a washout in a road during some flooding, they separated and Condry was hit in the head by an unknown assailant (there are a lot of details I'm omitting for the sake of brevity, it's quite convoluted, but the guy had a reason to be there); he fell into the washout and nearly drowned before his partner rescued him. The head injury and lack of oxygen put him in the hospital in a coma for several months but he slowly began to regain consciousness. He mostly recovered, but has some lingering mild speech aphasia, and post-traumatic epilepsy which can be triggered by various things such as stress, caffeine, lack of sleep, and flashing/flickering lights; he's learned some techniques to deal with this, such as covering one eye or wearing blue-tinted glasses, but is no longer able to work as a state trooper. He now spends his time searching the Deep Web for illegal activity, or something like that. (BTW, don't know if they'll see this, but thank you to the people who replied to my "voice inside your head" post. I read them all but am really bad at replying personally. ;_; ) EDIT a week later: His name is actually BRYAN.
