December 23, 2019, 2:25:27 AM April 21, 2021, 11:46:51 PM 12/23/19: Hello, kind viewers, it's the latest Generic Handsome Guy with whom I decided to grace my page tonight. (Minot-based supporting character--and all-around a-hole--Shane Buchanan came to mind, though there was no specific guy intended, and I can't say this is him. Maybe it's even someone I've drawn already.) Since I'm having some issues with storage memory (some mysterious thing is slowly sucking it up, and I'm not sure if it's my art program, or the massive, uninstalled Android 10 update I have sitting on my device--I've read lots of bad things about it 😩 ), I figured I should do rough/practice sketches, which I have no intention of finishing, in some other program without an internal gallery. After trying numerous sites (including DeviantArt Muro--WTF, it only lets me draw, any time I try to switch to eraser or anything it goes right back to brush??), I narrowed it down to Samsung Notes, and Kleki.com. Notes can save in image format but you get text attached, including the date! Which is kind of cool yet kind of annoying. And it still saves internally so I'd have to e-mail my art to myself and delete it from the app. Kleki misses some things (like a selection tool, which I nowadays use mostly to move out-of-place eyes--this guy's eyes aren't lined up) but seems neat so far, for basic sketches (online). And it didn't nag me to sign up just to download my drawing, which some other top search result drawing site did. (No thanks!) ...I kinda want to marry him. 😐 Goodnight. Hm...I see I already kinda confessed this way back then. :/ Oh well. Anyway, yes indeedy, ever since I sketched that dude, my mind has been fixated on his identity, which was most likely Ward County prosecutor (or DA, whatever) Shane Buchanan from my Minot storyline. And here we have his completed sketch. Damn him for being cuter than my Det. Kristeva portrait, especially since he's really a gigantic a-hole. Oh, he's not a bad guy, like Chad Jenner or Jay Campion or whatever. And he doesn't even suck at his job, in fact he's quite good at it. He's just a giant jerk. What he wheedles Kristeva into doing so the detective can gain access to some files related to a case he's working on is pretty skeezy, to say the least...and I can't really get into it here, though you can read Buchanan's first appearance in my fiction HERE (the skeezy scene occurs later, and mostly offscreen, fortunately). (I just noticed this scene describes Buchanan as a prosecutor with the CITY court, though I'm pretty sure he's supposed to be the county prosecutor...ah well.)
