February 20, 2021, 7:52:28 PM 2/20/21: r/SketchDaily theme, "Reddit Gets Drawn." I don't think people like it when I draw them, and I can't really blame them given my lack of skills, so I'll just post another character portrait. Here is Mandie Armstead, from my novel Minot. Throughout most of the story she comes across as...ahm...let's just say overly friendly; only toward the end is her true, not-so-friendly nature revealed, and since writing that I've learned she's actually rather unbalanced and a quite unpleasant person to deal with. My other characters, (former) Officer Chad Jenner and Lt. Alan Kincaid, have ample reason to steer clear of her. She's one of the few people Kinnie is afraid of. In my novel she's described as "voluptuous" with full lips, long auburn hair, and blue eyes...things get goofy if I draw lips on people, so none of that. For some reason I thought her hair was darker; oh well. I'm not positive on her hairstyle, I imagined it kind of more voluminous, but anyway here she is. And now on to the next character attempt.
