Loosely inspired by The 5th Dimension's "Medley: Aquarius/Let The Sunshine In (The Flesh Failures)," which I seem to recall is quoted in the story sans permission.
STORYLINE HISTORY/INSPIRATION
I heard the term "the Age of Aquarius," as I recall, and my parents said they had the song on 8-track. I had a big 8-track player and instantly fell in love with the song. I had the tendency back then to create casts of characters based on different categories of things, for example, I created characters based on the planets, natural elements ("Horsey & The Wind"), colors (the Trench Rats), sometimes more than one category at once like natural elements AND colors ("The Thunderbirds"), etc. So of course I anthropomorphized the constellations. The twelve traditional signs of the western zodiac were to appear in this story, though I planned other stories featuring the other constellations, too. I seem to recall even drawing a "movie poster" featuring at least a few of the main characters, such as Aries, Capricorn, and Scorpio. I didn't get very far before losing interest and moving on, so the series never got a chance to develop.
Oh, by the way. My zodiac characters' personalities and traits DO NOT match the signs' customary traits AT ALL. My Scorpio acts like a Virgo. My Aries is like a Libra and my Capricorn, I dunno, like a five-year-old child. And Libra is like, I think a glasses-wearing rabbit carrying the Scales on his head like a hat...? What was I thinking?
