STORYLINE HISTORY/INSPIRATION
"Animal Funnies" is one of my earliest storyline ideas, likely dating to around the same time as the Trench Rats, though probably coming after the Animals. As far as I recall, I never got to write any material featuring them, I just spent some time creating the characters--first, a group of male animals, then their female counterparts--and I kept losing the list and needing to find it again. I seem to have a memory that I MIGHT have either expanded the list, or came up with a followup list, but I'm not sure, if I did then that no longer exists.
Although I apparently liked the Animal Funnies enough to be upset every time I lost the list, I never developed them as I did the Animals, and in time moved on to other things.
