100 Themes Challenge: Minot Edition |
The 100 Themes Challenge is an art challenge that has been circulating in various forms around the Internet, e. g., LiveJournal and DeviantArt, for quite some time now. There are many different variations on the 100 themes, some of these variations following a particular theme themselves. Several times so far I've tried the challenge but haven't finished, both in art form and in writing.
Most recently I discovered a group/club on DeviantArt dedicated to written versions of the 100 themes. It is this version of the list that I'm currently working on. I decided to focus on the characters and plots in the Minot spinoff of the D Is For Damien storyline, as they've lately taken over most of my thinking time. It'd be nice, in the future, to dedicate more written themes to my other storylines, such as Manitou Island (an attempt I made in the past), though I have yet to finish this first challenge. (In addition, it would be nice to try my hand at other versions of the 100 themes, since there are many of them, some with different degrees of overlap.) At the time that I started the challenge, I'd been exploring more character background and backstory for my Minot characters...and writing that had previously been more PG-13 in content has swiftly shifted to R-rated territory. As a result, many of the scenes of the challenge have various adult-content warnings appended. While NONE of the themes will go over an R rating, and some will fall under PG-13 or below, this part of the site WILL contain an amount of adult content along the lines of violence, adult language/profanity, adult themes, drug use, and sexually oriented situations. It's nothing much worse than what you could expect to find on a TV-14 program or in a moderately tame adult novel (since DeviantArt, the site these were originally written for, has rules against certain types of adult content--its unfortunate site name notwithstanding), but still the warning is there, and I urge anyone who might take offense with such themes to stick to other, tamer parts of this site. Please note there is a strong GLBT emphasis in many scenes. Also please note the disclaimer that goes along with the stories set in my D4D storyline that the cult activities depicted are those of a SATANIC CULT and are not representative of SATANISM AS A RELIGION. ![]() How Max and Natalie Kristeva first met. ![]() Det.
